Survivor Millennials vs Gen X Power Rankings: Episode 4

Last week we got the biggest twist in Survivor history! NOT! The marketing department promised something epic. Instead we got a summit where they ate peanut butter and jelly. It was tragic. We learned that Paul was a big target, which was foreshadowing for his vote out. But did Paul's ouster change the power rankings? Not that much! Let's check it out!

#1) Ken McNickle (4)

Ken should be knocked because his bulge didn't make an appearance this episode. That aside, Ken is become a fan favorite! The new odd couple of David and Ken, along with Paul's big mouth, helped sway the numbers toward them. Ken is a beast and a big threat. But right now, he's far too liked to be voted out. And that's dangerous for later on.

#2) Michelle Schubert (1)

Michelle was silent this episode. And that's good. It means she's likely not getting an ouster any time soon. No one suspects her as the mastermind of the Mari boot. That being said, if word gets out, her days are numbered.

#3) Michaela Bradshaw (2)

While we don't know what she'll do, Michaela seems like she is the queen of the flip. Adam seemed to have her ear about numbers. Sure, her strategy can work to get her far but it won't get her a victory. People are bitter!

#4) David Wright (8)

The thing about David is he is certainly a great character for TV. But for Survivor? He's a pretty massive wild card. At the summit, he told the millennial kids that he will flip to them. Way to play your cards.

#5) Jessica Lewis (5)

Jessica made a massive move in flipping against Paul. It also proves she's the queen of the older women alliance. Will her big move pay off or will she be handing over that Legacy Advantage soon?

#6) Zeke Smith (6)

I'm not convinced that Zeke is in any sort of danger. Even with Mari gone, Zeke is a number that can help oust Fiylor.

#7) Sunday Burquest (9)

Sunday bounces up simply due to the fact that she was on the right side of the numbers. We didn't really get to see her feelings on turning against Paul. Will she be able to say to Bret and Chris that she was worried about being on the wrong side of the vote? That's her only play now.

#8) Jay Starrett (10)

Jay is starting to stand out as a big game player. He's strong in the challenges and smart to know his placement. He's slowly creeping up but not by much simply due to his alliance with Taylor and Figgy. If he makes a clear break, Jay is a dominating force to be reckoned with.

#9) Taylor Stocker (11)

Taylor is so dumb. How dumb is he? Taylor is so dumb that if you talk to him, you instantly lose IQ points. Taylor can't win. But he is a goat.

#10) Chris Hammons (3)

Poor Chris. He didn't see that coming. What will be interesting to watch is if Chris can keep his cool, unlike Zeke. Chris needs to pass this off as good game play and not play into emotions.

#11) Bret LaBelle (7)

See above. Only Bret will be the one to play into emotions. And I think that will be a source of conflict.

#12) Adam Klein (13)

Adam had three big moments. 1) Being Zeke's secretary to Hannah. 2) Playing the number game with Michaela. 3) MISSING THE SHELLDOL! Foreshadowing? I think so!

#13) Figgy Figueroa (12)

Figgy Figgy Figgy, can't you see? YOUR GAME IS OVER! It's sad how clueless her game is.

#14) Will Wahl (14)

Here's my problem with Will. You can discredit his age all you want but that is the biggest problem with his game! He's revealing everything and anything to appease anyone who's older than him, WHICH IS EVERYONE! If Will wants to have a fighting chance, he needs to mature. And fast.

#15) Lucy Huang (15)

SHHH!

#16) CeCe Taylor (17)

CeCe was saved by Ken and David playing hard. They needed her number to oust Paul. But now that we've seen she's a bit of a dead weight in the challenge, I can see her going next.

#17) Hannah Shapiro (18)

Hannah, for the love of the gays, please learn about social cues. When Zeke doesn't want to talk, he doesn't want to talk. GO AWAY! We never saw a follow-up from that conversation but something tells me it will come back into play.

Survivor Millennials vs Gen X Power Rankings: Episode 3

If you listened to my Digging Deep podcast (which you can now subscribe to on iTunes!), you know that last week's episode made me MAD. Infuriated. How the hell did Mari, the potential Survivor legend get voted off? Well, she was a threat! It's not necessarily a big shake up in the game because it's very early but it does shed a light on certain players and the games they are playing. So how will Mari's departure and this new twist play into this week's rankings? Check out below!

#1) Michelle Schubert (17)

How did my first boot pick for the Millennials make it to the top of the power rankings? By strategically knocking out my winner pick in glorious fashion. I was so down on Michelle pre game that I was pleasantly surprised to see her make an epic move. If you dissect how she did it, it was pretty fantastic. But will she be seen as the mastermind and gain a target or was swaying Hannah over her way of deflecting the target?

#2) Michaela Bradshaw (6)

The queen of the soundclips, Michaela made a big move by keeping her rival Figgy around. She could easily have knocked her out but the second she heard her name as a potential target, she had to let the personal differences not play a factor. And that's smart. But where does she fall in the pecking order? Keeping Figgy could backfire if the numbers don't go in her favor.

#3) Chris Hammons (3)

Determining the power over at Club Gen X is quite hard. We have seen the bottom feeders shine on the bottom but there is no clear cut leader. Well, that's not entirely true. You have to factions, one with cool-headed Chris and one with Mr. Bulgetacular Ken. Chris has the edge simply due to the numbers.

#4) Ken McNickle (9)

Not since Caleb and Tai one season ago have we seen such an odd Bromance. Ken and David know that they need each other. They are not a likely pair in the real world and that's what makes this bond so interesting. Ken is playing a clean game right now. But where things will get interesting is if he has the ability to sway people to his side. Just how tight is the other six?

#5) Jessica Lewis (4)

If you're someone who follows edits, Jessica's visibility from episode one to two was not in her favor. She had a dominating first episode between finding the Legacy Advantage and her pink eyes. We didn't get a follow up on either. Is she not a factor in moves to come or is there really nothing on her at this point? No matter what, all clean eyes will be on her eventually since she does have this mysterious power.

#6) Zeke Smith (2)

Zeke was given a lucky break. In all honesty, Zeke and Mari could have been interchangeable in that vote. But Zeke's cruise director personality is what likely saved him. He was more personable. But we know he is going to freak out on Hannah and he needs to remember, unless he can do some immense swaying, he cannot alienate her vote.

#7) Bret LaBelle (8)

Like most of the core six on Gen X, Bret didn't have much to say in this last episode. But he still remains at the top of the bunch. If the potential tribe expansion happens and he's on this mixed tribe, he will need to play nice with the kids from the Millennials or I can see him going.

#8) David Wright (18)

David gets such a giant power boost because he has something no one else has. The Hidden Immunity Idol. And Ken. And his bulge. David needs to rest easy that he now has a ride or die and not freak out. He cannot make anyone aware that he does have an idol because they're already suspicious. He should bring it with him to Tribal in the off chance he needs to play it.

#9) Sunday Burquest (14)

It's becoming a trend. Sunday was there for a brief narration and that's it. Sunday seems to be toward the top of the Gen X core six and has yet to falter. But should she land on the mixed tribe, if there is one, she will be an easy target.

#10) Jay Starrett (11)

Trifecta or Triforce? No matter what they all themselves, they got lucky. And Michelle is the one to thank. Jay knew the showmance was not a good thing. Or maybe he's just gotten burned on so many bowling nights. Jay seems to have his head on straight. He's needed in the challenges so there's no reason for him to go. What he needs to do now is play it cool.

#11) Taylor Stocker (16)

Perhaps he had his love goggles on during Tribal because I think he was just as blindsided that Figgy stayed. I don't expect Taylor and Figgy to stop macking. They caught an extremely lucky break but it's not going to change how they play. They're already planning their West Coast life together so why not coast and float even farther?

#12) Figgy Figueroa (10)

It seems from a viewer's perspective that Figgy was just going to lay down and die, expecting to be voted off. We didn't see or Taylor campaign to save her. It was all Michelle with a little help from Jay. Figgy is expendable in the eyes of many and that's not a good look. Figgy must mend all the fences with Michaela because that girl is playing and will cut her when she's ready.

#13) Adam Klein (7)

Poor Adam. He was so excited to be out there but his game just got mutilated. Unlike Zeke, we haven't really seen Adam's worth to the tribe. Adam needs to find a way to swing the numbers back toward him or he's the next to go.

#14) Will Wahl (13)

If he voted with the majority why is he so low? It's because his game is awful. He got swayed by beauty. And it shows his age and maturity. It proves to everyone just how impressionable he is. There is no way in hell he can win this game. But this may have solidified a trip to the merge and beyond.

#15) Lucy Huang (15)

Who? She's been wearing a cloak of invisibility. But we simply don't know anything about her. Personally. Game wise. Anything. And that's not good from a television perspective. It's fitting she's wearing so much purple because she's getting a Purple Edit.

#16) Paul Wachter (12)

Paul exerted too much energy and it almost physically knocked him out of the game. It's a relief that it wasn't a heart attack but the tribe knows he's not as strong as he thinks he is. He also is a bit too arrogant right now. And no one wants to be out there with someone with that big of an ego.

#17) CeCe Taylor (19)

She may not have been able to unhook the ring but she was able to hit not one but TWO targets! That made her a star of the challenge. But in a game of numbers, it won't save her. She is on the bottom of the tribe and needs a miracle to save her.

#18) Hannah Shapiro (5)

Hannah, Hannah, Hannah. I wanted to like you. I really did. But girl, you are a disaster. If anyone trusts you from here on out, it's on them. It's their demise. Hannah's poor display at Tribal Council proves that as much as she loves the game, she has no idea how to play it. She was swayed by Michelle so easily. Michelle gave her no reason to trust her and yet she went along with it. By waiting and debating at the voting booth, it proved to the people she was aligned with that she is a mess. Hannah will stay simply because she is no longer a target. She has destroyed her game.
