Survivor Cambodia: Episode 1 Power Rankings

We're going to try something a little different here on Reality Ace. Rather than recap each episode like everyone does so well, why not do a little weekly review via the power rankings! Last week, I gave you my pre-season power rankings. The number is parentheses is where they ranked last week. The rankings are based on the first episode performance in combination with pregame information.

#1 Kelley (3)

Kelley Wentworth, the girl who lasted 5 episodes on San Juan del Sur, not only gets more screentime in one episode than in her entire season, but shows why she has so much potential to win this game. She expertly maneuvered a way to search for the Hidden Immunity Idol. And when she discovered it was a clue that lead to its location at the challenge, she didn't play it safe and figured out the exact moment to get it! It was a gutsy move that, if she can play it well, will reward her greatly. She is currently in the majority alliance on her tribe, appearing to allow Spencer and Shirin take the credit for Vytas' exit. Kelley will be one to keep an eye on.

#2 Jeff (7)

Jeff Varner is playing this game and he is playing it hard. He may appear like he is clueless but he knows exactly what to do. He has set himself up very well by flipping and avoiding a tie (something he is fearful of) at Tribal and yet still finds himself in a powerful position. The minority shelter building alliance needs him if they want to have a fighting shot of remaining. The majority beach people alliance have the numbers and he can easily remain with them. Jeff Varner may think Shirin's driving the train, but clearly knows the destination.

#3 Shirin (20)

Shirin started at the bottom but because no one is taking her Words Apart reveal seriously, she is able to be a strong strategist. She is the first reason why Vytas is gone. She made him a target and smartly managed to get the numbers on her side. Because of the nature of this specific format, she was able to paint the picture of his potential other tribe alliances that, should he have be reunited with, could have hurt them all later on. Shirin and Spencer together are a dominating force, but if she will need to keep an eye on Kelley who could easily play her soon.

#4 Andrew (5)

Savage is the tribe elder at Bayon and is showing why he is the leader. Savage is not only making camp, he's unifying the tribe (when Joega isn't happening), and making people trust him. With the manly men on his side, Andrew is sitting pretty. As long as players from Outcast past don't suddenly appear, he should be good for a while.

#5 Jeremy (13)

Jeremy wanted to make a dominating alliance of strong players. And he did that. But he also needed to ensure that he had San Juan del Sur buddy Keith in his back pocket. And he did that too. Keith is easily manipulated and with Jeremy controlling his strings, there should be no wild moves on Keith's part. With Jeremy so strongly aligned and big threats he can easily deflect to, he is in a good place.

#6 Spencer (12)

He could have been a first target or the big man on island. And he is the latter. Combining forces with Shirin as superfans and strategists was a strong move. He helped figure out a way to get Vytas out which will benefit his game. The reason he is behind Shirin is the shelter people thought they had him. That might come back to haunt him soon. He is an easy target as a strong player down the line. Spencer seems to be improving when it comes to his social skills but it's still very early.

#7 Joe (14)

Everyone loves Joe. Joe teaches Joega. Joe looks beautiful. Joe can make fire. Joe looks beautiful. Joe is pulling the wool over everyone's eyes and that's dangerous for them. Joe is back with his pristine social game and having a strong bond with Andrew will work in his favor. With the ladies on his side and the men wanting to work with him, Joe will likely swing whatever way the wind blows.

#8 Kimmi (4)

Kimmi is perceptive! Let's be honest, she knew what Fishbach was up to. Or she was just assuming and assumed right. Kimmi may be a little on the older side with little to offer, but Survivor is known for allowing these types of players to float right into the merge. She's not making waves, yet, and seems to be getting along and doing exactly what she needs to do to fit in. So far, so good Kappenberg!

#9 Keith (6)

Keith is a puppet. By burring the hatchet with Jeremy, Keith has a strong alliance that will help him along the way. The trouble is, if the going gets tough, they will get him going. Keith is back to his spitting habits and will likely look like a fool. But this is not a game of fools. He needs to prove his worth and fast because homeboy cannot carrying fire through water. BRING THE MAN SOME BALLS!

#10 Monica (2)

Monica is playing very quietly, again. But that may be due to her being on the winning tribe and didn't have much to offer when it came to shelter building. But you always have to be weary of those quiet ones. Monica seems eager to snap into game mode the minute she has to. But where are her ties?

#11 Woo (9)

Woo did one thing well. He won the rice after the marooning. Woo is playing with honor and integrity so far and has bonded with the old school players. After we learned that the old school ways are not happening on the Ta Keo tribe, Woo needs to make some moves. And fast. With the knowledge of pregame alliances, Woo seems to be on the bottom of the totem pole in his current Ta Keo alliance. Vytas was a long term threat. Woo can be too. And he could easily be targeted next.

#12 Kelly (8)

The original loser had a pretty bad episode. She smartly jumped into the water to retrieve the rice but she couldn't finish. She got to redeem herself in the very first challenge she ever played but she lost to Joey Amazing. She wanted to play with the old school players but they all got played. Kelly is revered because of who she is. At some point the novelty will wear off. Kelly needs to be smart about proving herself. She's clearly a provider at camp but if she can't provide in challenges, she's not worth a whole lot.

#13 Tasha (10)

Tasha wants to play feisty. What we saw was a girly girl oogling over Joey Amazing. That's not the Tasha we know! Where's the challenge beast?! She seems to be playing nice with Kass but let's see what happens when Bayon loses and they finally have a reason to clash. Get ready for some clawas.

#14 Kass (15)

Kass is playing a smart game by playing it cool and trying to reinvent her exterior. We all know that she is a loose cannon in the head but if she is perceived to have changed, that could be very rewarding. She is making nice with Tasha and leading the ladies with chores. We haven't really seen an opportunity for her to fail just yet. Unless she has a trick up her sleeve, she will be targeted like Abi.

#15 Peih Gee (1)

Peih Gee received the baby wrath of Abi-Maria Gomes. While the Brazilian firecracker didn't explode at her, Peih Gee was the source of gossip. Does the paint her in a bad light or does the rest of her tribe know that she just got the unfortunate task of being Abi's punching bag. It's hard to say but regardless, she has a target. The unlikely bond between her and Jeff could be very fruitful though. If they form a tight alliance, no one could see them coming.

# 16 Terry (16)

Terry was blindsided by the loss of Vytas. I think Terry thought he had everything planned out. With the leader of the old school alliance down a solider, Terry will need to make nice and figure out a way to prove that he may be at the bottom but he's a worthy competitor that they cannot lose.

#17 Ciera (19)

Ciera had a quiet episode but looking forward, the loss of Vytas is detrimental to her game. Ciera and Vytas were likely alliance members. With him gone, Ciera must rely on who she has on her tribe. Her link with Ta Keo is gone. If her tribe sees Ciera as the threat Vytas was, she will likely be meeting Vytas back home soon.

#18 Stephen (17)

Stephen Fishbach is a genius. What Stephen Fishbach is not is a man who can break a twig. Stephen got an awful edit. Especially when compared to Savage. But is this just another underdog story in the making? Stephen doesn't seem to have any friends on his tribe and that is never a good thing. Lone players, unless they are needed to be a swing vote, are easy targets that will not hurt tribe unity. Unless he finds that idol he clearly didn't find when he fell in the water, Stephen won't be getting a Fishy from himself anytime soon.

#19 Abi-Maria (11)

Abi was smart by not exploding and alienating everyone. She beat Vytas! But she did put a giant target on her back. She is now officially easily expendable when the time comes. If the beach people don't want her anymore, she is a goner. We saw her control her emotions, slightly, but is this just a ticking time bomb of things to come?

Survivor: Cambodia Pre Season Assessments

Are you ready for what could be the most epic season of Survivor yet?! For the first time ever, the fans got to vote on who they wanted to see play Survivor again. We have 20 of the most incredible LOSERS in Survivor history. The theme in Cambodia will be about second chances. With a season of people who have never won, the drive will be high. But who will come back and take the Survivor crown?

The Second Chancers

Abi-Maria Gomes
Season 25- Survivor: Philippines, 5th Place

The Brazilian firecracker is back and swears she is not the villain Survivor Philippines made her out to be. Abi needs to realize the perception everyone had on her and become aware that her wildcard strategy won't work this time around. Abi will need to get people to know that she can be trusted in an alliance. And she'll actually need to prove it. Injury prone Abi was often relegated to the bench during challenges and will need to prove that she is not a weak competitor. Abi has all the odds against her with quite possibly one of the largest up hill battles of any Second Chancer. If she can't make friends, she is easily expendable.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Andrew Savage
Season 7- Survivor: Pearl Islands, 10th Place

A Probst favorite and a legend in regards to getting the bad end of the twist stick, Savage got screwed over by the Survivor Pearl Island twist but proved his worth as a player prior to being voted out. Savage was a strong threat in his prime but twelve years later, will the physical game be just as strong? Savage will be a provider and provided that he has some alliance members on his initial tribe, Savage will be a leader who will be able to deflect the strength card on the young guns. Back in the day, Savage was a prime target. But this time, he's a middle of the pack threat which sets him up for a decent place come merge. As long as he doesn’t face any outcasts.
Prediction: Jury

Ciera Eastin
Season 27- Survivor: Blood vs Water, 5th Place

Whether she likes it or not, Ciera will forever be the girl who voted her mom out of Survivor Blood vs Water. Ciera seemed to only be getting started as a gutsy game player, aiding in the infamous plan to draw rocks resulting in Katie leaving. Ciera has a lot of game connections due to her season and connections via her mom. Ciera needs to get in a solid alliance or prove her worth as a competitor or she will be targeted for her presumed alliances. Her game, like the rocks, is all dependent on the initial tribe lines and fate. I just don't see her getting a fair shot and will be an easy early vote.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Jeff Varner
Survivor 2- Survivor: The Australian Outback, 10th Place

Jeff is riding high from a great voting campaign and holds the nostalgia factor. Varner has a big mouth and will need to keep it very much in check. It's inevitable he's not as strong as he was but he'll certainly have a stronger will if presented with a peanut butter temptation. Jeff is someone that may brush you the wrong way but his personality is infectious and will likely draw many in. He may have the biggest fight of anyone on the island so expect him to last long, and if not, he'll tear people's games apart on his way out.
Prediction: Jury

Jeremy Collins
Season 29- Survivor: San Juan del Sur, 10th Place

Jeremy has a massive target going into this game. He has a lot of potential alliances. He's also quite strong. With the potential of tribes having power to start, Jeremy may fall victim of the get him while we can vote. He will certainly work hard and fight to stay but his game is highly dependent on how he and his tribe fairs, alliance or not. He wants to play a game against only strong players. Those who he perceives as weak could ban together and boot him. Jeremy needs to play smart and not cocky
Prediction: Jury

Joe Anglim
Season 30- Survivor: Worlds Apart, 10th Place

Joe also comes in with a giant target. He currently holds the Survivor Golden Boy title, which may make him an early target. Joe is extremely likeable and if you let him go too far, he will win. Joe has a lot of pride and will need to check that at the door. As long as he blends in at camp and lets the larger personalities clash, he'll be a necessity and not a liability. But if his ego gets him in trouble, he will be gone the first shot. Joe has an incredibly tough journey but will likely have all of America on his side.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Kass McQuillen
Season 28- Survivor: Cagayan, 3rd Place

The curiosity of Khaos Kass. Kass enters this season with Abi as the biggest villains. While she may not consider herself a villain, she gets the title for blowing up the games of the good guys. Hence a villain. How Kass will fair in this game is all a matter of the people surrounding her. Her reputation will be the downfall of her time in Cambodia. She needs to prove that she is a strategist with good intent and not a crass and bitter flipper. While she won't be a physical threat, she'll be kept around for her puzzle skills. But in the game of big players and big personalities desperately seeking a victory, she may be voted off to secure the lack of Khaos. She comes in with really no alliances to watch her back, so it’s up to Kass to make it on her own.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Keith Nale
Season 29- Survivor: San Juan del Sur, 4th Place

Stick to the plan and Keith should be carried around for a couple weeks. Keith cannot be permitted to speak or think because we all know what happens when he does. Keith fits the old guy bill but he is no Savage or Terry. Keith wins games with balls while the others dominant with strength. If Keith goes rogue, Keith will be on an early plane with Kass. If not, he'll be a loyal alliance member. I think he's learned his ways and has a jury spot waiting for him. Watching him play the game now knowing how will be exciting to watch.
Prediction: Jury

Kelley Wentworth
Season 29- Survivor: San Juan del Sur, 14th Place

Her inclusion is interesting but she's here. And here without her dad. Playing as a solo player with familiar faces can truly work to her advantage. She has a fight and will be looking out for her own game. Kelley wants to experience a jury so she is likely to not make waves in order to insure her spot. Kelley is an underdog in a game of pitbulls. Being someone who had very little TV time her first go around may make the rest of the players forget who she is. And if that’s the case, she will be kept until it’s too late.
Prediction: Finals

Kelly Wiglesworth
Season 1- Survivor: Borneo, 2nd Place

The ultimate runner up, Kelly not only is the nostalgia factor the favs want but she is going to be productions darling. Unlike her first pass, she will be entirely alone with no speculated outside help. Kelly enters the game with virtually no knowledge of anyone playing against her. This could be a benefit for her. Plus the fact that no one wants to vote out Survivor's original loser. With a completely new style of game presented to her, will Kelly be able to adapt to the fact it's no longer a game of playing camp but a bloodthirsty battle for one million dollars. As long as she can survivor herself, America will remember why we fell in love with her.
Prediction: Jury

Kimmi Kappenberg
Season 2- Survivor: The Australian Outback, 12th Place

While many are surprised that she made the cut, Kimmi will bring fire into her game. As a pre merge boot, Kimmi has a lot to prove aside from her finger wiggling skills. Kimmi is older and wiser but her challenge performance will be her deciding factor in this game. She will be one of the older contestants as well as an old school player and that could put her in a bad place. But expect her to make moves to fight for a place in this game. She’s proven that she will do what it takes to win, and that may prove more trust than many other actions.
Prediction: Jury

Monica Padilla
Season 19- Survivor: Samoa, 7th Place

Monica didn't start playing until her final days in Samoa when she blackmailed Russell Hantz. Expect her to bring that game play to Cambodia. She is another unlikely selection which will work in her favor. She will be seen as a virtual non threat and will be able to coast pretty far while the big personalities battle each other. Monica easily could pull a Parvati and shock everyone in the end. But will people's knowledge of that style be at a disadvantage. Monica needs a strong early alliance with the right people. She has a lot to offer and could find herself talking to a jury.
Prediction: Finals

Peih-Gee Law
Season 15- Survivor: China, 5th Place

Peih Gee got dealt a bad hand in regards to initial tribes. Yet she still managed to make it to fifth place. If she has fate on her side, expect Peih Gee to be a warrior in the finals. She's smart, a good challenger, and brings a great social game. She is one of those middle of the pack threats that will be forgotten until it's too late. While many know she is willing to throw a challenge, even if it happens to be her forte, people will keep a close eye on her during the actual challenges. But as long as her social game is on par, Peih-Gee could easily go home a million dollars richer.
Prediction: Finals

Shirin Oskooi
Season 30- Survivor: Worlds Apart, 8th Place

If anyone is coming in with the worst set up, it's Shirin. She is perceived to be annoying but the moment she revealed that she's a multi-millionaire, these Second Chancers are likely to cut her out of the running the first chance they get. And the excuse will be because she is a weak competitor. Shirin is game smart and knows more about any other contestant. She may be used in that respect but there are other Survivor super fans that have a better overall resume. Shirin will certainly provide some great made for TV moments, but this is a game of Survivor veterans. There’s no time to play. It’s war.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Spencer Bledsoe
Season 29- Survivor: Cagayan, 4th Place

Survivor always has a golden boy, until they were replaced by the new version. Spencer replaced Malcolm. And Joe replaced Spencer. This could work greatly in the young lad's favor, deflecting attention onto the new kid in town. But that still doesn't eliminate his incredible knowledge of the game and the players. If his confidence comes across as arrogance, he will set himself up for an early trip home. He has horrendous body language so his poker face better have improved. Expect him to take a seat on the jury bench and become a bitter jury vote.
Prediction: Jury

Stephen Fishbach
Season 18- Survivor: Tocantins, 2nd Place

Stephen is known for his odd couple relationship with former golden boy JT. But he may be better known for his post Survivor placement as a Survivor expert. With the landscape of great players this season, Stephen instantly becomes a weak player even if he may not actually be one. He will likely be perceived as a threat due to the belief that he has relationships with a large number of Survivors. Will it come back to haunt him? It will if he has nothing to offer. If he does not link up with someone who can carry him past the merge like JT did, he will be a likely first make target if the choice is to weed out the weak.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Tasha Fox
Season 28- Survivor: Cagayan, 6th Place

Tasha, like Kelly Wiglesworth, is a challenge beast and one of the strongest females out there. Tasha will need to check her ego at the door as she has greatly changed post Survivor. Tasha will need to prove that she has a lot to offer to her tribe and that her ties are to the current tribe and not to players across the way. As long as she remains calm, cool, and collected, expect her to try and take the challenge crown once and for all. Tasha has an incredible presence and I expect her to fair decently well.
Prediction: Jury

Terry Dietz
Season 12- Survivor: Panama, 3rd Place

The game has changed vastly since the man who found the very first hidden immunity idol played. Ten years older, Terry takes the spot as an old guy in the game. Will he be able to align with the new kids or will he be stuck in his old school ways. Out of the gate, Terry needs to prove he is a strong competitor still otherwise he could be a very early cut due to his nice guy threat. And he shouldn’t be shocked if everyone believes he’ll be searching the island for any and all idols.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Vytas Baskauskas
Season 27- Survivor: Blood vs Water, 10th Place

Vytas is someone with a very strong passion and will to win. He naturally has many ties to many players and potential alliances based on people he's played with and their alliances or via his brother's former allies. Vytas could be expendable just with that threat. He has a very Lex-Esque mentality and sense of betrayal. Get on his wrong side and he'll go for blood and not the smart game move. He has a naturally rough exterior and if the people who don’t know him can’t reach him on a personal level, he could seem like he’s your enemy. The yoga mind may not be the Vytas who will be playing for a second change
Prediction: Pre Merge

Woo Hwang
Season 28- Survivor: Cagayan, 2nd Place

Woo needs a second chance to redeem himself from his awful decision that ultimately cost him the million dollar prize. Woo strives on integrity and honor. In this version of the game, those two theories cannot exist. Woo claims he'll play a different game but the reality is he won't. His honor is great for people seeking trust. But that will very likely backfire as it will cause an instant target and alliance. If he gets far enough in the first part of the game, he will be eliminated right before the merge because he will beat anyone.
Prediction: Pre Merge

Episode 10 Recap- The Not So Amazing Jeff

The foam party ends and things are back to reality. Johnny Mac asks Vanessa if James threw the comp but in reality, he just sucked. James blames his suckiness on sexism because girls and patterns. Ok. You dumb. With James believing that Audrey is the backdoor target, he thinks he’s pretty safe this week. Golden Boy and his crazy socks arrives in the HOH room to discuss the official target with Vanessa. Her hopes is that she can keep the nominations the same so James can go home. Austin, still wants Jeff gone. The twins swap and they still whine. Liz complains that Julia is not her. Bubbly! Oh and COVER THE TOOTH! I sense a plot line to come! Audrey brings herself up to question Vanessa to ensure she’s safe. Vanessa and Austin ensure she’s safe. The fish fry is focused on Jeff and James because the longer Audrey stays, the bigger her target remains.
Gronk's Veto Challenge

Jeff brings himself up to hang with his bro Austin. Jeff thinks they’re tight and Austin is totes gunning for Shelli and Liz. Austin lets Jeff run his mouth because, well, he’s a moron. It’s veto comp selection. Before Vanessa pulls her chip we get a glimpse of Trainwreck Becky! AHHH! Welcome back girl! So Vanessa grabs Shelli. Johnny Mac gets houseguests choice and picks Austin. Smart move my man. James pulls his worst fears and takes Audrey. Jason is mortified. AHHHHH! Vanessa wants Audrey to win so the nominees stay the same. Oh this will be a good comp! Audrey comes up to the HOH room because girl loves the drama. Audrey is ecstatic. The POV challenge arrives and it’s the dice game from seasons of yore. Oh wait, who’s hosting the POV? It’s Becky! Now she speaks! Congrats Trainwreck! In Gronk and Roll, the players get in the dice and must roll their die back to their platform with the correct number facing up. Vanessa, poker diva herself, challenges Audrey with the number 2. Vanessa plays real bad and makes it appear that the die is hard to move allowing Audrey to win. John challenges Audrey. Uh oh. The number is 3 and John is rockin’ easily beating Audrey. James is up and takes on Goliath himself, Austin. James is just rolling while Austin looks like an animal but it’s the animal who beats the Hillbilly. Shelli is up next and challenges Goliath. The number is 4 and Austin frogs to victory. It’s now down to the finals between Austin and John. Rock Doc vs Judas. Who will it be first to 1? It’s the Rock Doc Pawn Master winning Veto AGAIN. I have to say, John in the Diary Room sessions are like a college kid on drugs. Wild, crazy, and uncomfortable to watch. And at this rate, Johnny Mac will be here to stay for a long time.

John celebrates his victory by falling into bed and listening to James. He knows how ridiculous he sounds as he says he feels safe. But now with Veto in his hands, Vanessa is screwed. And thinks Austin may have thrown the competition. They spat and Austin backtracks. Their fight goes in circles as they both think they’re right while clearly it’s Vanessa since we already learned via the DR that Austin kinda maybe threw it.
Gronk's Shower Party

It’s time for Gronk’s first official party. So anytime Gronk calls a party, if you don’t show up, you get a party fowl and become a have not. Shelli is WAY too excited. The first party is a living room toga party. It’s not very killer. Next up is a pool party. And then a shower party? Huh? Uhhhh…ok. And then we get a New Year’s Eve Party which means KISSES! It’s cute until Clay and James kiss…and then any dream of kissing Clay is ruined. Oh man. Another? Costume party. And then we get a montage, thankfully, to spare us. Parties when you’re sleepin, parties when you’re cookin’, party to limbo and conga, and of course a hot tub party. Those parties sure are exhausting! No time for strategy? Psssh. It’s Vanessa and Jeff talk time! Vanessa claims she’s struggling on what to do. She uses the “Audrey’s cause” excuse. Jeff tries to convince her that Audrey really is the appropriate target as she is the source of all dramz. Jeff goes around and whines about the lack of Audrey going up. And of course he shoots himself in the foot by spilling his guts with Clay around. Jeff even asks Austin what her deal is. Jason catches on to Austin’s plan of working with Vanessa. Jeff, on his reign of uh oh, continues to try to sway Golden Boy away from Austin. Jeff, you are awful at this game. Go back to running around the globe. Clay goes right to Austin who goes to Vanessa who come up with the plan of giving her a reason to nominate Jeff. Operation Expose Jeff! Austin immediately approaches him in front of Shelli and Clay. Smart move! He claims that he told him that he can’t trust Clalli. Dramz! Austin then pulls Vanessa into the room. Vanessa calls him out and they go at it! Fate sealed. Jeff, sayonara. The BBTakeover music arrives and Gronk returns. Anyone who won a competition this week gets to play in a competition to win a Gronk cruise. Jason, John, Meg, Vanessa, and Austin get to play the first luxury comp! All ya gotta do is select a cup and chug! Simple. And the winner is Meg! She gets to travel with Gronk and his family on a party ship. Good luck darling. Don’t celebrate too long because it’s Veto meeting time. With John inevitably taking himself off, it’s inevitable that…wait. Gronk party? Way to be a buzz kill Gronk! The party’s over for Jeff as he gets to be John’s replacement on the block. It’s now Jeff vs James and things couldn’t be any worse for that alliance. Jeff isn’t buying it beyond being Audrey’s puppet. Austin is thrilled as he is bloodless. And Audrey is shocked she is still alive.

The battle is on. James may actually have a reason to feel safe with Jeff sitting next to him. Will Jeff have an amazing time going home? And what will the next BB Takeover be hosted by? Cross your fingers it’s someone good!

Episode 9 Recap- Foam Boy Hunting!

Life post Mama Day finds us in a world ruled by Vanessa and Austin and Gronk’s party is the most excitement to come. Please tell me there is hope in this world because this ain’t my party scene. With Da’Vonne gone, Audrey should be enemy number 1. Vanessa, hours before the eviction, learns the truth about Liz and Julia. How will this work to her advantage? With Julia coming out to Vanessa, Julia has plans post official switch, but getting there has to happen first. Vanessa needs to protect Liz and Julia so she goes to Shelli and Clay about the truth. Shelli understands how this could work to her advantage if another number comes in. Clay warns Julia that she can’t be alone with the other side of the house. Shelli is so happy for one reason and one reason only. SORORITY SISTERS! ugh Vanessa goes to Austin who is completely in the dark about the truth. So dumb. With the Twin alliance in power, how will they secure 3 more evictions? We’ll find out soon but first it’s HOH room time. Oh wait, not yet. Meg and Jason and Jeff and James praying they’re not targets. Austin finally gets his Julia moment where Austin reveals to us that he actually likes Liz. But not necessarily Julia. Even though he had no idea which was which. Hillbilly and Amazing Race Douche are freaking out about Vanessa because they have no idea what she’ll do. But Austin and Vanessa decide that Jeff, Jason, or James should be the ultimate target making the house think Audrey is the real target. It’s a risky move but with the pieces in place, it could secure a better chance getting Julia into the game.

It’s finally HOH room reveal. Vanessa gets to see a picture of her girlfriend and her puppies. Austin finds baby pictures and Clay Aiken music. Austin is a Claymate? HUH! In the twin swap, Julia reveals to Liz that her new alliance knows everything. She goes straight to the HOH room where Vanessa clearly has no idea who is who. Clay arrives in a sexy bathrobe to greet real Liz. Liz is relieved until she understands how mean the rest of the house are. STOP FAT SHAMING! But as Liz reveals the differences between the two, these houseguests are morons. As is Austin with the dumb alliance name. The Sixth Sense. Well, actually that’s not half bad.

In the backyard, Clay and Steve play with balls and bro out on the hammock. Wait, strike that. They fall right off. Sorry Stevie, you’re a dork. James knows he and his group are going up until they theorize about Liz. The Rock Doc plays detective about Liz and the crown on her tooth. Rock Dock intrudes the HOH and plays fake paparazzi until Liz gets onto him. Jeff pulls his podcast bro Austin into a room to tell him that his bestie is a twin. Austin plays dumb, which he does well, because he knows he is about to slam a knife into his Jeff’s back. Jeff wants the Liz reveal to happen but Austin will protect his ladies! Austin, Vanessa, and Liz try to pick their nominees for eviction. Vanessa wants Austin to nominate Meg and she’ll pick John. But they need a deal with him to play the pawn again. Vanessa and Austin him safety through six evictions. He agrees because he can’t say no at this point. Oh and has anyone noticed Becky hasn’t been seen at all this episode? Poor Becky. So pointless.
Austin/Judas and Vanessa reveal their nominations

It’s nomination time. What is about to happen because Judas is in the house! Austin and Judas decide to nominate Meg and Jason because of Da’Vonne. Vanessa selects James and John for game purposes. Jason is pissed to up with Princess Pretty Pawn. Johnny is mad because James took his picture spot. He’s becoming more and more lovable. Audrey is on the outs and breathes a quick sigh of relief. Meg is upset because she doesn’t want to continue to be a pawn. Well go talk to Johnny, Princess Pretty Pawn. Meg and Jason are collectively made because unless it’s bedazzling, putting up a play, or cooking a frittata, they’re gonna lose up against the dudes. James tries to hype up the Rock Doc but he doesn’t buy into it because he’s in a good spot and can’t reveal it.

Gronk's Foam Party Battle of the Block
It’s a foam party in the backyard at Club Gronk. Wait! There are non houseguests in the house! WHAT! The Battle of the Block this week is find the matching patterns on items to the party goer. Oh and there’s a maze involved. James’ strategy is to find the hot chicks. Jason is so “disorientating”. Johnny Mac is throwing it but also can’t breathe through the foam. Poor kid. Meg notices the man with the murse because how can you miss a man with a murse and immediately finds his matching pattern. James is clueless because all he knows is camo. The gay man and the New York hipster chick are destroying the competition. Partially because James sucks at this. Jason is thrilled with all the cute boys in his VIP lounge. Jason and Princess Pretty Pawn win dethroning Austin, who gets foamed in the process. With James and John on the block, will Audrey be the target as the house assumes or will Jeff find himself up there if a veto is used? Oh NO site of Becky until the credits. Poor train wreck.

Episode 7 Recap- Mama Demon and the Week From Hell

It’s been an eventful week 2! Players are getting played and targeted early as Shelli and Becky had obvious targets. So with Shelli wanting Day out, how will she secure it? Let’s find out!

We begin with the aftermath of the Battle of the Block. Things are going well for the official HoH Shelli. Becky barely got time to enjoy being the head of household. Becky thinks Shelli will do her dirty work but homegirl is gonna be shocked soon! Mama Day is still shocked she’s a target and thinks her awful strategy is the reason they lost. Nope! To celebrate not doing anything, John hugs Clay and Shelli and nows he’s golden in the Cougar and Golden Boy’s eyes. The way Shelli and Clay treat John is like a mob boss. Oh, and then they cuddle in bed and it’s weird. In the Have Not Room from Hell, Jason, James, and Meg chat about what could happen with the current chopping block. This is the Big Brother house and the walls are thin and Audrey is lurking, listening in. She hears the trios plans of hoping she gets backdoored. Cue the chaos! And then it’s time for the Twin Twist. Rather than sharing information, they FIGHT! Idiots. With the swap in action, New Liz is grossed out by the kitchen. And I would be too. Jason catches her but is too sleepy to notice who it is. We move into the Veto selection. Shelli draws Houseguests Choice and picks Clay. John selects Meg while Da’Vonne grabs Steve and not her ride or die Jason. If looks could kill! She pissed! Jackie is selected as host because she does absolutely nothing in this house. #floater Audrey corners Clay in the bathroom to discuss their allegiance. Thunderbuns reassures her that Da’Vonne is the target. James, who hates the Have Not room, is wearing his sunglasses and listening to Da’Vonne whine about her position, blaming everyone and everything for her demise.

Twin Swap!

It’s Veto Comp time and it’s another movie set. The players are forced to be interns and go head to head to collect Kathy’s assistant’s missing item. First up it’s John vs Da’Vonne, who is pissed. Kathy’s voice appears begging for items (including a framed picture of Jodi of BB14). Da'Vonne picks the wrong item, runs back for the right one as John finally figures out he needs to unicycle. John beats Da’Vonne, securing her demise. Steve battles Clay next. Clay, like a football player, secures the rubber ducky beating Steve. Meg chooses to battle Shelli because she wants to throw it. Shelli picks wrong and Meg is stuck to play again. John picks Meg and easily wins after grabbing the corn starch. It’s the Rock Doc vs Golden Boy. Who will prevail? It’s Johnny Mac! By winning, he’ll definitely take himself off. Mama Day thinks Audrey should go up. Shelli now has to find a replacement nominee. And the right one at that.

Johnny Mac and his Veto

Shelli is now scrambling to figure out a way to get Da’Vonne out. Clay thinks John should save the veto. And while talking to him, the camera pans to John who looks like a 12 year old boy. Clay and Shelli pull Becky up to tell her she’s not picking Audrey. Becky is nervous about keeping Audrey because she’s unpredictable. They try to strike a deal so she’s not pissed. And it works! James, Jason, and Mama Demon are sad but the demon has been unleashed! They think Audrey has to go or it will be war. Vanessa, worried she may be a replacement, tries to ensure she’s not going up. Vanessa knows it has to be a girl to go up and they go through the list. Until the Rock Doc appears. Shelli proposes not using the veto to which he thinks is ridiculous. Clay tries to sway him but Johnny Mac becomes smart and says no. Austin makes a rare post-Jace appearance to also ensure he and Liz are safe. Shelli thinks Liz could be an option. Liz is terrified because she knows the stakes of the Twin Twist. Liz reluctantly agrees to be a pawn. Austin needs to ensure this doesn’t actually happen.

It’s night time and the blowup giraffe is in the house. Oh and there is boy talk in Meg’s bed. Austin hears this 5 am pillow talk and uses it to his advantage. He convinces Vanessa to talk to Shelli about switching her pawn from Liz to Meg. Vanessa does his dirty work by twisting the truth. Shelli buys it and now realizes that a Meg vs Da’Vonne battle would ensure Day leaving. Audrey, alone in bed, talks to Clay and begins to backtrack into a near fight. It’s so ridiculous. #entitlement Clay tattles on Audrey to Shelli just so there’s some suspense. But alas there won’t be. John does his Veto ritual. He puts on the necklace. He looks at the memory wall. With the obvious about to come, it’s a matter of who will be John’s replacement. Will it be Liz? Or Audrey? Or Meg? Or a blindside edit? Nah. It’s totally Meg. Da’Vonne has the knowing look of defeat. Meg knew a pawn was necessary but she’s bummed it’s her. Shelly’s ultimate plan will follow through and she’s thrilled. The poker dealer claims you should always be team day because she’s gonna try to stay.

The live episode is upon us and the last laugh twist will be determined. Who’s going to get it and will it have any sway on saving Da’Vonne? And who will be the next head on the chopping block? Will Audrey be next or will it all be determined by a random HOH twist?

Episode 6 Recap- The Newfound Diva Rivalry

Happy Fifth of July and the fifth episode of the season! After two unlikely houseguests won HOH, it’s anyone’s guess how this week will shake up. Shelli is shocked she’s HOH and that she’s on a game show to win money. Becky on the other hand is excited to be HOH with Shelli. Clay is stoked Shelli won because he sees himself as safe. Day is not happy because they are both question marks in her book. Vanessa knows Audrey is the target this week. Oh and then Audrey tries to tell Vanessa that she’s associated with the all girl clique rumor. Backtracking much? Vanessa, with the fates on her side, calls out Audrey and Day about the rumor. Day is so excited to rally the troops and call a house meeting about Audrey’s big lie. Audrey is shocked that anyone would call her out? Girl! Have you never seen this show before? This house meeting is epic. The 8 person alliance is officially no more as Audrey is at the forefront of at the mistrust. Da’Vonne and Audrey are officially the biggest rivalry in the house. Audrey is also the worst salesperson ever. Can’t even play dead and sell it! With everyone gunning for Audrey, it’s a matter of who will target her first. Shelli isn’t officially done with Audrey so with the right persuasion, Audrey could convince her to target her rival instead.

Diva Smackdown! Da'Vonne vs Audrey

It’s time for the lady HOH room reveal and James is the happiest. Baby pictures of Shelli make Clay melt. Ew. Becky’s letter is very sweet. Shelli’s is equally. Except for when her mom and dad make a winky face at her new “friendship” with her younger boy. Ew. Shelli and Becky have their first convo to find out where they stand. Audrey is the elephant in the house. Becky reveals that Audrey is the backdoor with four pawns. Clay is automatically safe with Steve as a obvious nominee. Becky has storage room meetings where she spills the Audrey beans as the target to Jason and James. Is she playing or just being a puppet? And then it’s Johnny Mac’s turn who seems so clueless. Becky continues her tour of destroying Audrey by telling Steve to focus on Audrey. Clay then throws a wrench in the situation by throwing Day’s name to Jeff and Meg. Audrey appears and immediately fights for her safety by subtly throwing out Day. Clay, so manipulative, agrees. Clay works Shelli to focus on Day and it seems to work. Clay, like a moron, wants her to put him up and finally Shelli has some smarts. Shelli wants John to throw the BoB. Poor Rock Doc. He’s like a deer in headlights. He has no choice but to agree.

Outside, Becky tells her story about how she was hit by a train a year earlier which is why her lip is all messed up. Jason thinks the story is insane and that she is superhuman. Becky’s story is appealing and can work to her advantage or destroy her because she’s a “trainwreck.” In the bathroom, Steve reveals he’s sharing a bed with Liz. And he is absolutely terrified that there will be a girl in his bed. So cute. But no time for that. It’s nomination time! Will it be a Audrey backdoor or is it Da’Vonne to get the boot. The houseguests gather around to find out who’s on the block. Shelli nominates Johnny Mac and Da’Vonne as protection for herself. Becky nominates Jason and Steve as retaliation for being on the block and because Steve hasn’t talked game with her. Audrey is pleased to be off the block but is weary of the backdoor plan. With Becky and Shelli on complete opposite pages, this Battle of the Block is bigger than ever.

Da’Vonne, James, and Jason are shocked Audrey isn’t nominated and believe she won’t be backdoored. They both plan on playing for BoB. Becky tries to calm Jason and Steve by telling them Audrey the squirrel is truly the target. Shelli and Clay are in bed quite close and Audrey interrupts. Audrey is paranoid about if Steve and Jason throwing the competition so Shelli immediately deflects so she doesn’t get in trouble. Rock Doc and Da’Vonne have what appears to be their first conversation. Johnny Mac tries to cheer up Day knowing that he’s gonna give her the worst dental ejection ever. Ejection from the house! OOOH!

Becky's nominees Jason and Steve

In what seems to be a trend, the BoB is a takeoff of the tv set theme. Audrey plays the director of Ginger Fever where the nominees will be camera operators. When Audrey yells shot list, the teams must follow the shot list and get all nine shots. The catch, you don’t know what prop is attached to what camera. Oh the other catch is they have to wear a pair t-shirt and move together as one. Steve and Jason have the idea of going two by two with the cameras. Da’Vonne decides to turn them all on and do a lot of running. Well, you just lost it for yourself sweetheart. It’s not that eventful as Steve and Jason win easily. To dethrone Becky, she gets powdered. Wah wah. And to make maters worse, Becky thinks Shelli will agree to toss out Audrey. Da’Vonne, knowing she’s a goner, is fighting for veto hard.

Power Rankings

Here are the latest Power Rankings! As you can see, with Audrey and Da'Vonne blowing up at each other, they have made themselves easy targets with Da'Vonne a likely goner. Meg is playing an incredible game, being loved by all and staying quiet in the majority. Vanessa moves up due to the majority finding out she can be trusted, so plan on seeing her being used quite often. Clay, though he is clearly running Shelli's HOH, is still in a power position though he is a likely target if Audrey gets another pass. And John, well he just does what he needs to do to get by. And it's working.
